1. Law of Exercise:
It is a law of the mind that it will narrow or expand to the dimensions of the
things with which it becomes familiar.

Decisiveness: When a desired object is so
firmly denied as to remove all hope, the mind will soon cease to long for it and
will be occupied in other pursuits.

It is a law of the mind that it will narrow or expand to the dimensions of the things with which it becomes familiar. The human brain has a huge number of synapses. Habits oil the machinery of our lives, helping us glide through our days, saving time and energy. As a habit is formed it lays down a literal pathway through the nervous system, from nerve cell to nerve cell, via the axons and dendrites. Frequent repetition of an act, be it a thought, a feeling, or an action, wears a deeper and deeper groove in the brain, much like walking over the same place in a lawn will wear a deep path in the sod. Scientists noticed tiny enlargement(s) on the tips of axons at the synapsis (of the more frequently used nerve pathways) and called them "boutons," French for buttons. The more "boutons" a nerve cell possessed, the more easily and quickly it was able to transmit its messages. Additional experiments revealed that repeated stimulation of a nerve pathway caused boutons to enlarge and multiply. This helps us understand how habits are formed in the nervous system. Basically any thought or action repeated over and over again builds little boutons on the ends of certain nerve fibers, making it easier to repeat the same thought or action. If a thought or action is repeated (habits) the electrical stimulation though growth factor {in NMDA receptor} caused the neuron in the path to enlarge and form a tighter connection in the form of more boutons. New thoughts or problem causes branching and new connections. Once those pathways are formed, can they be changed? Unfortunately the brain grooves and boutons do not go away when they are no longer used. This makes it harder to change a bad habit, but not impossible. A new habit is formed by building a new and stronger pathway in the brain. At the begin of a month or year it hard to put the new month or year in a daily work sheet without deliberate thought and frequent mistake are made. One must choosing to make a different response. The new choice must be made repeatedly, many times, over and over again. In time, more boutons appear on the new pathway than the old one, and the grooves wear deeper. It now becomes easier to take the new route, and the new habit becomes established. God will help your mind to form new pathway. God honors you choices. Until recently, the limbic system, a loose network of brain structures beneath the cortex, was thought to do the majority of the work in coding "emotional" information and orchestrating the body's responses. But studies are now linking more and more areas of the brain - both in the cortex and in subcortical regions-to the complex mix of perceptions, sensations and judgments we call emotion. When subjects report feeling emotions such as fear and disgust, their right frontal lobes show increased electrical activity, according to studies by psychologists Richard Davidson at the University of Wisconsin and Donald Tucker at the University of Oregon. Sadness seems to diminish activity in the left frontal lobe as measured by an electroen-cephalogram (EEG), while certain positive emotions like happiness and amusement increase it. The chemicals transmitted by the axon over the synapses in the depressive network of nerve cell is different than in the positive emotional network. Right and left brain asymmetries may even prove to be a marker of differences in overall temperament. In a series of studies, Davidson and his colleagues have found that infants more prone to distress when separated from their mothers show increased activity in the right frontal lobe, as do people with a more pessimistic outlook. I did not find Criticism, Gossip and Power struggle on the list. Commitment: 1.When you find yourself dwelling on disagreeable, depressive or negative thoughts - Stop it, and by no means share it. Sometimes we all have to deal with bad stuff but don't dwell on it. I you can't fix it give it to God. 2. Grow our Positive brain network add more connection add more Button produce more positive chemicals. We do this by dwell in the cheery scenes of heaven, on Christ love on friends and whatsoever things are lovely.

When a parent a first refuses something that they feel the child should not have then after begging or whining the parents relents thinking they were to too strict, and give the child the very thing they at first refused. A lifelong injury is thus inflicted. Your 4 year old see a bow and arrow set a Wal-Mart. And ask for it and you say no it might hurt your sister. Later after crying and begging you change your mind. The Child has learn. 1. Bad behavior get results. 2. Self control is not required 3. Persistent in selfishness 4. Forgiveness is God’s chosen method of healing the mind from the pain and trauma of the past, with the goal of recovering ones peace in the present and revitalize seen ones purpose and hope for the future. 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. The call to forgiveness is not limited to physical violence. Dr. Sidney in his book on forgiveness list the top Hits on the hurt parade: 1. Disappointment. 2. Rejection 3. Abandonment 4. Ridicule 5. Humiliation. 6. Betrayal. 7. Deception. 8. Abuse. Forgiveness does not wiped out or memory. It is not the delete key reality. Genuine forgetfulness is not whether you remember the event in question, but how you remember at. Forgiveness this does not imply it’s okay. Forgiveness never makes a wrong fact right, nor does forgiveness excuse the wrong Act. Forgiveness does not always lead to reconciliation. Even if the other party he refuses to participate in forgiveness, your ability to forgive remains unhindered. Forgiveness does not suspend the laws of cause and effect. But even if they harden their heart are ability to forgive is unhindered and we will be healed. Forgetfulness brings healing to the past present and future. Past: How I handle the memories of painful things said and done to me in the past. Present: How I overcome her negative emotions I feel right now. Future: How I free myself from a hurtful passed to achieve my desired future. Forgiveness facilitates our own healing. We recognized are need to let go of reassessment. We realized that a failure to forgive is burning a hole in are soul and running her life. We also come to understand that there is no value in holding onto a grudge so, by our active forgiveness, we let go of that hurts. Forgiveness this is a very effective and practical way of dealing with lives disappointments. Forgiveness is a learned skill that, with practice, you can effectively use. When we are treated unfairly you have 2 choices, 1. Desire vengeance , 2. to forgive Here is paradox. (A paradox is a statement that opposite to what we would expect.) Vengeance hurts me more that it hurts the other person. Forgiveness helps me more than it does the other person. Happiness is a choice. If we choose to be happy we will be. Forgetfulness releases us from the grip of control of our lifes that we have given to the offending person. ( Many of you a happier in less than ideal situation while Many in mansion without Christ are depressed and miserable) You can take responsibility for your happiness. That is you have ability to choose your response to what ever comes your way - responsibility.. Forgiveness does not make life fair. But forgetfulness does give you back control over your life. In psychology there is what is called a self bias,. We reassume the worst motives and others while assuming the best motives and ourselves. Php 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.When we have seen that the old strategy of planning for revenge and retelling our grievance story simply doesn’t work. Then its time to realize that it’s time to move away from powerlessness and pain to forgiveness. You can choose to forgive-the path of life-or you can choose not to forgive-the passive death. Stress also is known to have a negative impact on our sleep, which in turn can have a negative impact on our overall health. If a conviction or positive desire is not acted upon or the decision to change or act is delayed the conviction or desire losses its power. “How soon 'not now' becomes 'never'.” Martin Luther If someone's conscience is convicting them to take a action and this is ignored the mental pathway for procrastination is made. The next time the same conviction come it is easier to ignore the conviction of the conscience and if again ignored the mental pathway for procrastination are strengthened. If an appealing is made for a person to follow God or change a harmful behavior but done ineffectually, and the appeal is ignored, harm rather than good has been done. So from China to India though Mary Montagu and Edward Jenner come the idea of Vaccination. The idea of introducing a weaken virus to make us immune to the real virus.
When someone needs to make a decision to change or follow a conviction it is important to be a facilitator not a vaccinator.
